Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme Phase II (RoLAC II 2023-2027)
Phase Two
The overall objective of this programme and the impact to which this programme will contribute is the consolidation of the rule of law and anti-corruption reforms in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The programme will work towards three Anticipated Outcomes:
Outcome 1
Enhanced performance, quality and accountability of justice service delivery
Outcome 2
Improved access to justice for vulnerable groups, children, juveniles, persons with disabilities and victims of sexual and gender-based violence
Outcome 3
Improved access to justice for vulnerable women, children, juveniles, persons with disabilities and victims of sexual and gender-based violence
The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) Programme Phase II is a five-year initiative funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA). Building on the successes of RoLAC Phase I, this programme is designed to consolidate reforms in the rule of law and anti-corruption sectors in Nigeria.
Where We Work
RoLAC II is being implemented in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and seven key states Edo, Kano, Anambra, Lagos, Adamawa, Abia, and Plateau. These locations were selected to address the unique legal and governance challenges across different regions, creating a ripple effect that enhances justice and accountability nationwide.
By working closely with government institutions, law enforcement agencies, civil society organizations, and media partners, RoLAC II is fostering systemic reforms that promote good governance, access to justice, and anti-corruption efforts.
RoLAC II is committed to ensuring the sustainability of its reforms by promoting institutional capacity-building, stakeholder engagement, and policy integration at all levels. Through strategic partnerships and continuous advocacy, we aim to create a transparent, accountable, and efficient justice system that serves all Nigerians.
